Marsden Park Care Community
Dharug Nation
The Marsden Park Care Community is a high quality residential aged care home designed for Opal Healthcare, providing 148 beds to the growing community in Sydney’s north-western suburbs.
Inspired by the local character of the Cumberland Plain, the design enhances the well-being and quality of life of residents through dynamic shared spaces catering to their varied needs. The aesthetic harmony of the central courtyard is shaped by its verdant entrance and a sustainable planting strategy that emphasises endemic vegetation and sensory planting, subtly informing the active and passive zones available to residents and visitors.
Designed to promote physical activity and social interactions, the community features a bowling green, gym, and wellness area. These spaces are unified by the central courtyard, which includes open grass areas, large tree planting, serene retreats, winding pathways, and charming gardening stations with amenities for residents to engage with. A rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of the Blue Mountains and Cumberland Plains, complemented by the bespoke bowling green for residents to enjoy.
This new community also offers specialist dementia care, with tailored zones and engaging sensory gardens with amenities designed to support the distinct needs of these residents.
