History
Taylor Brammer was founded in 2000 by Matthew Taylor and Iain Brammer who shared a commitment to design excellence and sustainability in their approach to landscape architecture.
Since then, the firm has flourished to become one of Australia’s leading landscape architectural design practices, with a broad and diverse team across studios in Sydney, Austinmer and Newcastle.
As the firm has grown our diversity of practice has expanded but always with the emphasis on design excellence and sustainability. Our belief in the importance of history and genius loci inform our design thinking and is core to our philosophy and values. It is this approach that has lead the firm to be recognised with international and national design awards.
In 2022, the director group expanded to include Aaron Lakeman, James Heron and James Horan with Matthew Taylor and Iain Brammer. In July 2024 Iain and Matthew then transitioned to a design strategy role with Aaron, James, and James leading the practice through the next stage of growth and development to build upon the firm’s reputation for delivering outstanding quality design.
Aaron, James and James lead Taylor Brammer in this next stage of the firm’s evolution and maintaining the founding commitment to sustainability and design excellence.
