Hungry Point Cliff Top Walk, Cronulla
Dharawal Country
As lead consultants, Taylor Brammer worked closely with Sutherland Shire Council from concept to construction on the recently opened Hungry Point Cliff Top Walk, in Cronulla.
The walkway provides a key link for the local community, connecting the Esplanade pedestrian walkway along the eastern edge of the Hungry Point Reserve, extending to the southern point of the peninsula.
The design is sympathetic to the natural sandstone outcrops, retaining foreshore character and enhancing the natural values of the place. The walkway features a raised and suspended boardwalk along the eastern and southern edges of the site, incorporating interpretive signage, seating, and an accessible viewing platform.
As part of the project, the existing bushland will be regenerated to reflect the ecological communities of Hungry Point Reserve.
