Waterfall by Crown

From its origins as a 19th century industrial heartland, the suburb of Waterloo’s recent revitalisation explores the concept of a 21st century neighbourhood of a living and working environment, thereby encouraging a sense of place, community and well being.

Waterfall by Crown as an urban sanctuary embodies these values creating a sequence of external landscape environments that fold, wrap and integrate with architecture and the surrounding neighbourhood.

An eight-story waterfall (the tallest constructed waterfall in the southern hemisphere) highlights the significance of nature, thereby further exploring the design outcomes of this urban sanctuary.

Using the empowering warmth of nature in the urban setting a sense of community is generated with resort style facilities that include an infinity rooftop pool and terrace; a cantilevered gym; rooftop cinema; function room with catering kitchen and music room, all these activities are enhanced by their engagement in the landscape environment.
