A landscape heart was created in the revitalised community of Nareen Terrace Independent Living Village at Wyong on the central coast, north of Sydney. A multi-purpose activity lawn, trial golfing green, exercise stations, fire pit and an on water pavilion were created highlighting the site’s natural features. The bushland setting was made accessible with a walking track, seats and way stations that engage with the landscape environment by highlighting local bird species expressed as wind vanes as memorable themes across the site empowering the residents to engage with their surroundings. Endangered habitat was restored and ongoing maintenance ensures the renewal of living systems, walking track has led to appreciation by the residents of the local flora and fauna.
