Created as the latest innovative open urban space for the flourishing community of Waterloo in the inner city of Sydney, the design at Divercity consists of a public plaza, open parkland and extensive podium areas.
The public plaza and domain has created a community meeting place focused around a bespoke water feature consisting of shimmering stainless steel poles covered in flowing water that encourages water play.
To the edges of the plaza, the community is engaged with active edges to the building that encourage outdoor seating, restaurants and coffee shops that create a hub for the extensive apartment complex. Linked to the plaza is healthy green open spaces for play and recreation in a neighborhood park setting.
Extensive podium areas have facilitated the creation of an oasis that encourages contemporary community responses to climate and lifestyle. A recreational lap pool encourages use and enjoyment of the outdoors with lush planting, external pizza ovens, sheltering pods and sundecks. These facilities create opportunities for relaxation and recreation in a verdant landscape setting in the heart of this exclusive residential enclave.
